ScenarioDeck Desktop
Current Alpha scope.
This is the boundary to rely on today. It separates the initial public release plan from the workflow ScenarioDeck currently promises.
Availability
Initial public release
- Windows
- macOS
- Linux
Installer packages will be published for the initial public release. Until then, no installer is available from this website.
Current workflow
Supported in this Alpha
- ScenarioDeck Desktop runs a managed Chromium browser for the normal Capture and Open workflow.
- Capture supports the selected HTTP(S) fetch/XHR API behaviour, safe browser context, and supported route/form state needed for the saved setup.
- Open a reviewed State Card against current localhost and current code while supported surrounding responses remain controlled.
Boundary
Not supported yet
- Database or server-memory snapshots, and arbitrary backend virtualisation.
- Customer-production capture, Team sharing, and Capture SDK workflows.
- Raw credentials, a full browser profile, cookies, tokens, and browser-history export inside a State Capsule.
Before you rely on it
Confirm the edge case first
- SSR-specific behaviour, GraphQL, WebSocket/SSE streaming, OAuth or external redirects, and file upload/download flows are not separately promised by this Alpha scope.
Vocabulary
One saved boundary, named clearly.
- Setup
- The supported browser, application, and API conditions ScenarioDeck can save and reopen — not a machine, database, or production environment.
- State Card
- A named product record that points to a State Capsule and may declare a non-secret Auth Persona requirement.
- State Capsule
- The credential-free technical artifact containing the portable captured application state behind a State Card.
